⚠️ The rules are currently only translated and have not been cross-checked with the German rules. ⚠️
Carnivore
- Apexes are allowed to have Deinonychus and Laten in addition to Compis and Ramphos as cleanup crew.
- Subaquatics and aquatics are allowed to mix pack with Ramphorhynchus.
- Cuckoo Clause: Raising dinos to juvenile age is allowed for the following species.
- Rexes ➡️ Daspletos
- Spinos ➡️ Carchars
- Gigas ➡️ Allos
Carnivores can mix pack, but only with carnivores of related species or small scavenger dinosaurs (Laten, Deinonychus, Ramphorhynchus, Compi). Except for the Compi, all others are limited to 2 in apex groups and 4 in mid-tier groups. Note that even a Compi counts as a body down during a hunt, so choose wisely whether to take them into battle or not.
Carnivores are only allowed to mix pack with dinos of related species. Separate rules apply to fantasy creatures. The mix pack maximum only applies if the group consists of more smaller predators than larger ones. Otherwise, the limit of the largest predator species applies.

Herbivore
- Herbivores are allowed to mix pack in large groups; the herding limit, except for apexes, is determined by the game.
- Mid-tier herbivores can mix pack with related species.
- The exception is hadrosaurs, which can also include iguanodonts and Deinocheirus.
- Pachys are the only mid-tier dinosaur allowed to mix pack with any herbivore group. (They are set as mid-tier due to their relative defensiveness compared to other smaller herbivores and to prevent them from teaming with apexes.)
- Small herbivores can be included in any herbivore group, regardless of whether the group is apex or mid-tier.
- ⚠️ Good Samaritan Rule:
If you encounter a lone mid-tier herbivore (e.g., you are Stegos and find a Styra), you can include them in your group as an exception until they find related species.
- ⚠️ Adoption Rule:
Juveniles of any herbivore species can be included in the group as long as there is space. They can stay until they are adolescent or apex juvenile.
We want to increase the fun for herbivore players of all sizes through these large herds and make hunting a challenge for carnivores. Additionally, the increased food consumption of large groups should lead to more movement and hopefully a better distribution of herbivores.
